About

COMP-TEC Wojciech Dyjak provides IT services for companies that expect concrete support without corporate jargon. We take care of what daily work depends on — networks, servers, security and remote access — and the client talks directly to us, not to a call centre.

How we work

We start by understanding how the company operates and what actually gets in the way — not with a list of products to sell. Only then do we propose a solution and say plainly what is urgent and what can safely wait. If the current hardware will serve another two years, or the problem can be solved without spending money, we will say so instead of issuing a quote.

The second principle is order. When the work is finished, documentation stays behind: what runs where, how services are configured, where backups go and who has access. A company should not be a hostage to one person’s knowledge — including ours.

Technologies we use every day

We do not recommend anything to clients that we do not use ourselves. Mail, file cloud, VPN network, monitoring, backups and even this website — all of it runs on our own servers, on the same solutions we deploy for companies. Only the domain and the internet link stay external, because by their nature they cannot be hosted in-house:

  • Virtualisation and containers — Proxmox, Docker: several isolated systems on one machine, snapshots before every risky change.
  • WireGuard-based mesh networks — Tailscale and NetBird, also with a self-hosted coordination server.
  • Private cloud — Nextcloud with document editing, calendars and synchronisation, instead of per-user subscriptions.
  • Security — MikroTik firewalls, VLAN segmentation, a web application firewall (WAF) in front of web services, automatic blocking of brute-force attacks.
  • Our own AI server — a 122-billion-parameter language model handling chat, document analysis and agents that automate support tickets.

Why we favour self-hosted solutions

More and more business tools work on a subscription model: you pay monthly per employee, and company data sits on someone else’s servers under terms the provider can change. For a large corporation that is convenience. For a small company it means growing costs and lost control.

That is why, wherever it makes sense, we deploy proven open-source solutions running on the client’s own hardware: Nextcloud instead of cloud subscriptions, RustDesk instead of TeamViewer, a private AI model instead of access fees. The result is the same or better, the cost is predictable, and the data stays in the company — which greatly simplifies GDPR matters and client security questionnaires.

This is not ideology. When a commercial solution is genuinely the better fit, we say so and deploy it.

Why COMP-TEC

  • Direct contact — you talk to the person who actually solves the problem and knows your infrastructure, not to another consultant reading a script.
  • Security first — tested backups, access control and a well-considered architecture, before something breaks.
  • Honest advice — no scare tactics and no selling hardware you do not need.
  • Modern technology in practice — automation, containerisation and local AI deployed in small and medium companies, not only in corporations.
  • Business continuity — replacement equipment during repairs and remote help within minutes of a call.

Where we work

The company is based in Warsaw, and it is in Warsaw and the surrounding area that we visit clients on site. Companies in other parts of the country we support remotely — across all of Poland, which with today’s tools differs little in practice from working on site. We also serve English-speaking clients, including foreign companies with a branch in Poland.

Let’s talk

The easiest way to start is a short conversation — no obligation and no pressure selling.
