Professional Windows and Linux server administration — deployments, migrations and ongoing care. We make sure your servers run stably and securely, stay up to date, and that your backups can genuinely be restored. We work remotely across all of Poland, and on site in Warsaw and the surrounding area.
You can hand over the entire server administration under an ongoing care agreement, or use our help for a specific task — a migration, a deployment or recovery after a failure.
Windows Server
- Active Directory — domain, user accounts, groups and permissions, GPO policies enforcing settings across all workstations.
- Network services — DNS, DHCP, file servers with access control and change history.
- Terminal servers (RDP) — secure multi-user work on one server, also remotely. The standard solution for accounting and trading software.
- Migrations and upgrades — moving to a newer Windows Server version without data loss and with minimal downtime.
- Cleaning up inherited environments — when someone else built the server, there is no documentation and nobody knows what runs there or why.
Linux servers and containers
- Service servers — web, mail, files, business applications, internal systems.
- Docker and containerisation — services wrapped in containers: easier updates, faster recovery and the ability to move an entire environment to different hardware.
- Automation and monitoring — repetitive tasks running by themselves, alerts before users notice a problem.
- Hardening — minimal set of services, current packages, firewall, restricted access.
- Virtualisation — Proxmox and virtual machines letting you fit several servers on one box and take snapshots before every risky change.
Databases
We maintain MS SQL, MySQL/MariaDB and PostgreSQL servers — installation, configuration, query and index optimisation, backups and disaster recovery. That includes databases behind accounting and trading software, where what matters most is that the system simply works on payday and at month-end closing.
Backups you can actually restore
A backup is not a file “somewhere on a disk” — it is a tested restore process. In practice we most often find three problems: copies are written to the same server (one disk failure destroys both), nobody has ever verified whether anything can be restored, or the backup stopped months ago and went unnoticed.
We configure local and off-site copies, encryption and — most importantly — periodic restore tests. That way you know not only that backups “are running”, but also how long it would realistically take to get the company working again after a failure or a ransomware attack.
Remote server administration — how it works
Remote server administration is the standard today and gives up nothing compared with working on site. We connect over an encrypted channel (a WireGuard-based VPN or secure remote access), so nothing needs to be exposed to the internet. Monitoring runs in the background and tells us about problems — disk space, a failed backup, unusual load — usually before anyone in the company notices.
Physical presence is really only needed for hardware replacement or cabling work. In Warsaw and the surrounding area we come on site; for clients in other regions we arrange a visit or we cooperate with a local service provider.
Ways of working together
- Ongoing server care — monitoring, updates, backups and failure response under a monthly retainer. The choice for companies where a server outage means the whole business stops.
- Server administration by the hour — billed for work actually performed, with no fixed contract. A good fit when you have your own IT person but need support with harder tasks.
- Project — a fixed quote for a specific deployment: server migration, terminal server setup, moving services into containers, implementing a backup system.
Frequently asked questions
Will you take over a server someone else built?
Yes, we do it regularly — including when there is no documentation and no complete set of passwords. We start with an inventory: what runs on the server, what depends on what, where backups go and who has access. Then we tidy up and document the environment so the company stops depending on one person’s knowledge.
On-premises server or cloud?
It depends on the use case — and we have no preset answer. A server on your premises usually works out cheaper with large volumes of data and gives full control (which matters for GDPR and for accounting software). The cloud wins where a fast start and no hardware investment matter most. Often a mixed setup works best: critical services locally, backups off-site.
How long does a server migration take and will the company stop working?
Preparation usually takes a few days, but we schedule the switchover for a weekend or outside working hours so downtime is as short as possible — most often from tens of minutes to a few hours. Before every migration we take a full backup and a snapshot, so we can return to the previous state if anything goes wrong.
What if the server fails at night or over the weekend?
Monitoring runs around the clock and sends an alert immediately. The scope of out-of-hours response is agreed individually — for some companies a response first thing in the morning is enough, for others (for example shift work) we arrange a faster mode.
Ask about server care
Write or call — We will check the state of your servers and tell you what needs attention first. No obligation.
