Business VPN — Secure Remote Access

A secure business VPN built on modern mesh networking: Tailscale, NetBird and WireGuard. Your team connects to company resources from home or on the road — and no service is exposed directly to the internet.

Remote work without exposing your company to attack

The classic approach to remote work — putting remote desktop (RDP) or a file server straight on the internet — is today one of the most common causes of successful ransomware attacks on small companies. Automated scanners crawl the internet constantly and find such services within minutes of them going live, then try passwords until one works.

Mesh VPN reverses that situation: no service is visible from the internet. An employee starts the app, authenticates, and only then does their device see company resources — as if they were sitting in the office. To scanning bots your company simply does not exist.

Why mesh VPN instead of a “classic” VPN?

  • Simplicity — an employee installs the app and simply has access; no certificates sent by e-mail, no hour-long client setup.
  • Security — modern WireGuard cryptography, per-device access, instant cut-off after a lost laptop or an employee leaving.
  • Nothing exposed — remote desktop, files or ERP disappear from the public internet and from scanners’ radars.
  • Control — optional self-hosted coordination server, so the entire infrastructure stays in your hands.

Tailscale, NetBird or your own server?

Tailscale is the simplest to deploy and works very well when a fast start matters most. NetBird offers similar convenience but can run entirely on your own server — We use both and deploy them for clients. If full independence matters to you, we set up a self-hosted coordination server: the whole VPN infrastructure then stays in your hands and keeps working even if an external provider has an outage.

What changes after deployment

  • A new employee — installing the app and approving the device takes minutes, with no IT visit.
  • An employee leaves or a laptop is lost — you revoke access with one click, instantly and for all resources at once.
  • External vendors — a software supplier gets access only to the one server they need, and only for the duration of the work.
  • Working from abroad and from hotels — the connection also works on restrictive networks where a classic VPN is often blocked.

Typical deployments

  • Remote work: secure access to files, RDP desktops and accounting software.
  • Connecting several company locations into one network.
  • Service access for trusted contractors — limited to selected systems only.

For remote technical support we also deploy self-hosted RustDesk — a secure alternative to expensive TeamViewer subscriptions, with full control over connections. We can run the RustDesk server on your infrastructure or provide our own — your choice.

Frequently asked questions

Will the VPN slow things down?

Not noticeably. Mesh VPN connects devices directly, without funnelling all traffic through a central server, so in practice only the employee’s own link limits speed. That is a significant difference from older solutions where everything went through one company server.

How many devices can be connected?

From a few to several hundred — the solution scales without changing the architecture. You can connect not only laptops, but also phones, servers, network printers and production equipment.

What about non-technical employees?

For the user it is one app, switched on once and running in the background. There are no certificates to configure, no server addresses to type and no manual connecting — one of the main advantages of this approach over a classic VPN.
